Hair and Make Up

Its a day which most ladies have dreamt about since they were a little girl and one that is very special.  So once you’ve set the date, booked your venue and found the dress, then its time to start thinking about hair and make up.  I understand that every detail needs to be just right and that’s why hair and make up will make you feel that extra bit special.  We all have different experiences of make up and hair and thats why I pride myself in making sure that I create the look thats just right for you. With that in mind I use a variety of high end brands, including Bobbi Brown, MAC, Chanel, Dior, Laura Mercier, Bumble and Bumble and Aveda, so there will always be something to suit everyone.

Trial

It’s important to secure the date in advance as I get booked up early.  I take a deposit when booking which is deductible off your final costs. You can book a trial at anytime, but I usually recommend doing the trial around 3 months before the big day. By then you will usually have grown your hair to the length you like, finalised your colour schemes, flowers etc, which all helps with designing your look for the day.

The trial is a fun session that is there to allow both you and me to try out different looks until we get the perfect one. It usually lasts 2 – 3hours and I can come to you or you can come to my beauty room in Rayleigh, Essex, or Shoreditch London.

Beforehand start collating images and references and get pinning away on Pinterest.

On the Day

I will be there to make sure you feel pampered, relaxed and happy with your final look. I will come to you and will in the run up to the wedding suggest a schedule of timings for the day, to ensure that your day runs smoothly. I will be with you as early as you need and leave once your ready in your dress.  I will be there for the final touch ups and can help with the veil or hair pieces too.  I will leave you with a little emergency touch up kit.

Bridal Lessons

If you are getting married abroad, it can sometimes be hard finding someone to do your hair and make up so why not have a “one to one” with me or bring your chief bridesmaids /maid of honour to the class and get her to practice with you.

At a lesson, we can go through your existing make up and hair kits, and then I can suggest new products that may be great for your look and also suitable for the climate at your wedding venue. We can practice techniques and I will give you a face chart and detailed “how to” guide to follow on the day.
